Alder Hey Children's Charity and BradleyDyer Media intend this site to be as accessible as possible for the majority of visitors.

The web page layout and navigation menus have been designed to give the visitor access to information clearly, quickly and at all times. The HTML code has been crafted to allow screen reading software to follow the content in a concise and structured manner.

We put all pages through the WC3 HTML and CSS validation process and test for general accessibility and clear readability (including colour blindness).

We acknowledge that we will not have covered every eventuality and welcome users constructive comments on how we might improve their experience.

Increasing your font size

Every effort has been made to ensure that this website looks and performs well with a large font size set. To increase your web browsers font size, you can follow the instruction below for your browser:

• Internet Explorer - Navigate to the 'View' menu (You may need to press the Windows key to see the menus), select 'Text Size' from the view menu, and choose the size that best suits you.
• Safari Navigate to the 'View' menu, ensure 'Zoom Text Only' is checked, now choose 'Zoom in' to find the font size that best suits you.
• Firefox Navigate to the 'View > Zoom' menu, ensure 'Zoom Text Only' is checked, now choose 'Zoom in' to find the font size that best suits you.

Most modern browsers follow the above text scaling format of 'View' and 'Zoom in'
