Littlewoods and our Patron Coleen Rooney proudly support The Clothes Throw

20th September 2012

In its eightieth birthday year, Merseyside-based retailer, Littlewoods.com, is proud to be the main corporate supporter of The Clothes Throw 2012, a campaign raising much-needed funds for Alder Hey Children's Charity.

The Clothes Throw is the stylish way to help raise money for Alder Hey Children's Charity. Now in its fourth year it has grown year-on-year with celebrity support from Sarah Jessica Parker, Daniel Craig, Dame Shirley Bassey, Yoko Ono and many, many more.

Brand Director at Littlewoods, Gary Kibble said: "Littlewoods is delighted to be supporting this year's Clothes Throw event. We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which we operate and those organisations that focus on improving the lives of children and young people are at the heart of our charity strategy.

"Littlewoods has an ongoing partnership with Alder Hey and has donated around £3million overall including a significant donation in 2005 to build a specialist neurosciences wing at the hospital As a Liverpool-based, fashion retailer with families and children at the heart of our brand, this charity tie-up is the perfect fit for us. We can't wait to see the donations rolling in."

Coleen Rooney who has her own Littlewoods collection and is a patron of Alder Hey Children's Charity is fronting the Clothes Throw 2012.

Coleen said: "I am delighted to be helping Alder Hey Children's Hospital with their annual Clothes Throw. This is a cause very close to my heart and I'm hoping everyone can get behind this great campaign to make use of the things we have in our wardrobes which we no longer need and raise much needed finds for the UK's busiest children's hospital at the same time."

There are lots of ways to get involved in the Clothes Throw from holding your own Clothes Throw fundraising party to raising funds through eBay or buying something from a celebrities wardrobe visit www.theclothesthrow.com to find out more.
