1. Legal

Alder Hey Children’s Charity is a Registered Charity. The Registered Charity Number is 1049275.

2. Processing your order and payment

2.1We accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, Maestro and Visa Debit. We do not accept American Express, Solo, Electron or Diners Club cards. Cheques are accept for postal orders only and should be made payable to ‘Alder Hey Children’s Charity’. Cheques should be crossed and have your address (including postcode), cheque card number and card expiry date written on the back. Please do not send cash through the post.

2.2 All product prices and delivery charges either shown in a brochure or on our online shop are inclusive of VAT and are correct at time of printing.

3. Goods

3.1 All orders will be subject to our acceptance of the order.

3.2 Due to popular demand and occasional limited availability, our products may sell out quickly. If an item you have ordered is not available you will be notified.

3.3 Although we aim to describe and measure items as accurately as possible, occasionally colours, design and materials may vary slightly from those illustrated.

3.4 If items within your order are permanently out of stock, we may at times substitute your item for a similar product of equal or greater value. If you do not wish to accept this substitute you may return it to us and we will issue you a full refund.

4. Delivery

4.1Your order should arrive within 7 – 10 days where products are in stock.

4.2 We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries or breach of our obligations, if the delay or breach is due to weather conditions, civil commotion, riots, strikes, malicious damage, fire, legislation, failure of ISP or telecommunications provider or other cause beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your statutory rights.

4.4 Where applicable, specific delivery information will be included in the product description.

4.5 A postage and packing fee is not applicable for donations or the purchase of alternative items dispatched in lieu of items no longer in stock.

5. Cancellation and refunds

5.1 You have the right to cancel or exchange your order within 14 days of receiving your items. We will be happy to refund or exchange an item once we have received it back assuming it is in its original packaging and in fully re-saleable condition. If items are not in fully re-saleable condition we reserve the right to refuse a refund/exchange. This does not affect your statutory rights.

5.2 We are unable to refund any postage and packaging charges or any subsequent postage fees incurred in returning the item. To find out how to return your item, please visit our Returns Policy page.

5.3 If you have received damaged products or we send a product in error or supply you with a substitute for an unavailable product and you do not want the substitute, please call our customer service team. You may return this product and a full refund will be provided, including the costs of returning the product to us.

6. Data protection

6.1 The information provided by customers will be held by Alder Hey Children’s Charity for processing and administrative purposes in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

7. Gift Aid

7.1 If you pay UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax and any part of your payment is a donation to Alder Hey Children’s Charity, you will be invited to make a gift aid declaration which will enable us to reclaim the basic rate tax already paid on the donation (25p per £1 donated at 2012 rates). You must pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains that is at least equal to the tax that the Charity reclaims on your donations during a tax year. If your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your Income and/or Capital Gains that is equal to the tax we reclaim you should cancel your declaration.
